Learning Style

My learning style has changed over the past few years. It started with a lot of note taking and studying, but I have gotten lazy over time. My current study habits involve absorbing data without taking notes. In the past it has worked for me. One example was back in my freshman year of high school in my geometry class. I was able to just sit there and listen to the teacher. I ended up doing well in the class, but I think that there were other factors that lead to my success. My old plans of studying also lead me into some trouble. One example was my English class in the same year. Just like the math class, there were other factors that lead to the trouble such as the teacher and my lack of experience going into the class.
During my time at CCSU, I hope to improve my learning style and make it more efficient. I am planning to take more notes in all of my classes and study for all of my tests. I know that I need to improve my study habits to adapt to different situations. The best way for me to learn is hands on and experiencing what I am learning and why it works.  The only problem is that that way of learning by doing will not work for my English and psychology class that are based more on reading and writing. For those classes, I am just going to need to spend more time to learn the material and improve my grades.
